For England vs Serbia at Wembley, we had the privilege of hosting eight Chelsea Pensioners whose spirit, humour and energy could convince anyone they were decades younger.
From the moment they stepped into the stadium, one thing became clear: Chelsea Pensioners don’t just arrive, they light up a room.
Everywhere they went, people stopped, smiled, applauded, and came over to shake their hands. The adulation they receive wherever they go is remarkable to witness, not just respect, but genuine affection. And they return it with warmth, and the kind of presence that makes you feel instantly connected.
The bond between them was just as extraordinary. Some have known each other for over 60 years, having served in the same regiments. Their friendship is effortless, full of inside jokes, shared memories, and a loyalty forged long before any of us were born. Watching them together was a reminder that service doesn’t end with the uniform… it continues through lifelong camaraderie.

At WPS Advisory, events like this remind us why we do what we do. Creating experiences, honouring lives of service, and bringing people together in ways that truly matter.
To the Chelsea Pensioners who joined us: thank you for inspiring us, humbling us, and showing us what community really looks like.
We can’t wait to welcome you back.
